Wave Action at St Pauls
Saturday 23rd April For those wishing to have a dip in the pool at St Pauls today...well you might as well forget it At least for today.
Heavy southerly swells caused by a low pressure system to the south of Pitcairn sent surf crashing onto the south and south-eastern coast of the Island.
St Pauls pool, a popular attraction for tourists and swimmers to its picturesque, blue green waters was white with foam as waves crashed as high a forty feet into the air. before pounding down into the pool turning it into a surging river.
