Monday 7th March. Work has begun on opening up an old quarry at John Adams Ground where rocks there will be crushed into aggregate to be used on the jetty, slipway and Hill of Difficulty road projects. The quarry was originally opened in the 1980s for repairs made to the jetty.
A new rock crusher is expected to arrive sometime in April where it will be set up on this site.

Although the project has begun, things won't get into full swing until April when more equipment arrives, including a new bulldozer and cement mixer.
